Hi, I'm Elena and welcome to Theugi. Thank you for visiting my on-line boutique leather handbag store. At Theugi we specialize in only the highest quality top grain and full grain leather handbags and accessories, designed for beauty and durability. Top and full grain leather ages beautifully. You will never see our bags fade or crack. Lower grades of leather and imitation leather (i.e. PU and vegan) look great when you buy them, but after a year they look old and worn. Our goal is to provide a product that you will be proud to wear for years to come.
Because we are a small company, we are able to provide our products at the most competitive prices. Our goal is to take market share from the top designer houses, and become the premier leather handbag designer for the African American community. OUR MISSION
Theugi is an enterprise of The Urban Growth Initiative inc., a New York State registered not-for-profit corporation dedicated to funding and advancing programs that support youth in underserved communities. TheUGI believes that the only way to truly change our communities is to invest in our youth and create youth-driven enterprises in the communities in which they live. We will fund and develop programs that provide youth with the foundational skills needed to compete in an ever-evolving world. We believe that it should be our responsibility to address the most urgent needs in our communities. We also believe that the resources needed to advance our cause are already present in our community. If the Theugi brand could gain only a 10% market share of the dollars spent by our community in the designer handbag market, the change we could create would be enormous.
In these uncertain times, it is important to invest your money wisely. Many large companies market their products to our people but invest nothing into our communities. TheUGI will be a model for self-growth.
